Position:
Full-Time Permanent Lead Cook 💰
Starting Pay:
$22.00 per hour 🕐
Schedule:
Varying days and hours, generally 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Are You Ready to Lead? Tigg's Canteen Services is looking for a reliable and motivated Lead Cook to become part of our team at Ottawa County Jail. This position is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in food service, takes pride in preparing quality meals, and is ready to step into a leadership role. WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Lead Cook, you'll help keep the kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. You'll work alongside the food service team while providing direction and assistance with daily meal preparation.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading, instructing, and assisting inmates in the kitchen. Preparing meals according to company recipes Food preparation and cooking Baking Kitchen clean-up Following company procedures and food service standards Working effectively within a structured correctional environment Safely handling and lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds 🎁

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
To be successful in this position, you must have: A high school diploma or equivalent The ability to work well in a structured correctional environment The ability to read and follow company recipes The ability to lead, instruct, and assist with kitchen operations The ability to lift up to 50 pounds Flexibility to work weekends and holidays Flexibility to work varying days and hours between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM The ability to obtain clearance approval into the facility Experience? It's a Plus - But Not Required! Previous food service or kitchen experience is preferred, but we can train the right person! We're looking for someone with the right attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn.
