Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced, energetic Bartender AND Server with serving experience to join our (at times) fast-paced bar and restaurant team. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the service industry, thrives in a busy environment, makes productive use of time during a slow shift, and delivers excellent customer service with consistency and professionalism. This role requires the ability to confidently handle both bartending and serving duties during high-volume shifts while maintaining a positive attitude and strong attention to detail. These responsibilities are typically either/or for the night, (i.e., if scheduled for a serving shift you aren't responsible for bartender duties, and if scheduled for a bartending shift you aren't responsible for server duties, with the exception of helping with tables

AS NEEDED

) Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to): Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently Provide attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable customer service Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and service areas Handle cash and POS transactions accurately Check guest identification to ensure compliance with alcohol laws Restock bar/serving supplies and assist with inventory as needed Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff Manage multiple tables and bar guests during busy service periods Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines Receive phone calls, taking accurate and detailed messages and/or to-go orders

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years experience bartending and/or serving in a bar or restaurant Strong knowledge of bar service, food service, and hospitality standards Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Ability to utilize "free-time" productively on a slow shift Excellent communication and customer service skills Reliable transportation and dependable attendance Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and [some] holidays (We will never be opened New Years Eve or New Years Day, w/ limited hours on Thanksgiving & Christmas, potential to be completely closed depending on day of week for Christmas) Ability to work 5-8 hour shifts Must be able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weight
