We are currently hiring:

Line Cooks Barbacks Dishwashers / Kitchen Utility Opus is an elevated restaurant and music lounge in University City featuring Southern-inspired food, craft cocktails, live music and a high-energy atmosphere. We are looking for team members who are reliable, work well with others and can perform in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Our busiest shifts are Friday and Saturday evenings, so weekend availability is important. When applying, please indicate which position you are interested in.

Compensation Line Cook:

$17-$20/hour, based on experience and skill level

Barback:

$15/hour Dishwasher /

Kitchen Utility:

$15-$16/hour, based on experience Additional hours and opportunities may become available as our business continues to grow.

LINE COOK

Our Line Cooks help deliver consistent, high-quality food while keeping the kitchen organized and moving efficiently during service. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards Work assigned kitchen stations during service Maintain proper portioning and food presentation Complete food prep and restocking Maintain a clean and organized workstation Properly label, store and rotate food products Follow food safety and sanitation standards Complete opening and closing responsibilities Communicate effectively with the kitchen team during high-volume service Preferred Qualifications Previous restaurant or commercial kitchen experience Experience working one or more kitchen stations Ability to handle multiple tickets during busy service Strong sense of urgency Dependable and punctual Able to work evenings and weekends BARBACK Our Barbacks support the bartending team and help keep the bar stocked, clean and prepared throughout service. Responsibilities Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers and other bar supplies Refill ice throughout the shift Restock and organize glassware Remove empty bottles and trash Maintain clean and organized bar and storage areas Support bartenders during high-volume service Complete opening and closing duties Assist with bussing and other restaurant support duties when needed Preferred Qualifications Restaurant, bar or hospitality experience preferred but not required Ability to move quickly and stay organized Strong work ethic Dependable and punctual Comfortable lifting and carrying cases, ice and supplies Available to work evenings and weekends

DISHWASHER / KITCHEN UTILITY

Our Dishwashers play an important role in keeping the kitchen clean, organized and ready for service. Responsibilities Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils and kitchen equipment Maintain a clean dishwashing area Return clean dishes and equipment to proper storage areas Remove trash and cardboard Sweep, mop and maintain kitchen floors Assist with kitchen cleaning and closing responsibilities Help with restocking and basic kitchen support when needed Follow sanitation and food-safety procedures Preferred Qualifications Restaurant experience is helpful but not required Dependable and punctual Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift approximately 40-50 pounds when needed Available to work evenings and weekends What We're Looking For At Opus, we value people who bring: Reliability Professionalism Teamwork Positive attitude Cleanliness and organization Strong communication Sense of urgency Willingness to help wherever needed Our regular operating days are Wednesday through Sunday , with our greatest staffing needs on Friday and Saturday evenings .
