Job Description

Job Overview La Vita Dolce is seeking a part-time bartender excited about opening a wine & cocktail bar at our new and expanded all-day cafe & evening bar destination in Southern Village! La Vita Dolce is an 11 year old all-day cafe that has outgrown its current space and has moved to a much larger location with a dedicated wine & cocktail bar that opens in the evenings. We have served wine and beer for 11 years, growing our Wine Down Wednesday event to one of the most successful weekly wine events in the area. With a new dedicated bar separate from the cafe counter, and the addition of seasonal cocktails, we expect our wine, beer and cocktail following to grow significantly. The Bartender will serve primarily wine and cocktails with a few NC beers on tap along with bar snacks prepared by our Lead Cook. You should be willing to become an expert on our wine & cocktail menus, and provide a warm and welcoming environment for every guest. While the Bartender will work separately from Baristas at the Cafe, we're a very team-oriented crew and we've built a strong, positive culture. When hiring, we seek those who will help contribute to this culture. Attitude is critical. You should have a hunger to grow and learn, have purpose in your work, and seek ways to contribute and improve. The bar will initially be open Wednesday through Saturday from 5p to 9p. We are interested in those willing to work 2-4 shifts per week. At least 12 months of experience as a Bartender required.
