Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a fast, efficient, and friendly Hot Bar Attendant to prepare high-quality to-go plates for our guests. In this role, you will be the face of our hot food station, assembling custom orders on the fly while maintaining strict food safety, cleanliness, and portion control standards.
Key Responsibilities Rapid Order Assembly:
Scoop, portion, and package hot food items into to-go containers quickly to minimize guest wait times.
Portion & Quality Control:
Follow precise portion guidelines to manage food costs while ensuring plates look appetizing and full.
Station Maintenance:
Keep the hot bar clean, organized, and fully stocked. Monitor food temperatures regularly to ensure safety and freshness.
Customer Service:
Greet guests warmly, answer questions about menu ingredients, and accommodate special dietary requests with a positive attitude.
Restocking:
Coordinate with the kitchen team to replenish pans of food before they run empty.
Skills & Qualifications Speed and Stamina:
Ability to work quickly and stay on your feet during fast-paced peak hours (lunch and dinner rushes).
Food Safety Knowledge:
Familiarity with safe food handling practices (keeping hot foods hot, preventing cross-contamination).
Basic Math:
Comfort with basic counting and measuring for accurate portion control.
Communication:
Clear verbal skills to communicate effectively with both hungry customers and kitchen staff.
Experience:
Prior experience in fast food, cafeteria service, or buffet-style dining is preferred but not required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, and reach for extended periods. Capability to safely lift and carry hot food pans weighing up to 25 pounds. Pay:
$15.00 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
