Duties Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and spirits. Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to understand their preferences and recommend drinks or food pairings. Maintain a clean, organized bar area while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; handle cash handling and cashiering responsibilities efficiently. Develop and refine beverage recipes to enhance menu offerings, incorporating trends like mixology techniques and craft beer expertise. Manage bar inventory by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and minimizing waste to ensure smooth operations during busy hours. Collaborate with restaurant staff to deliver seamless service during events like banquets or catering functions; assist in food handling when necessary. Uphold responsible alcohol service policies by checking IDs and monitoring guest consumption for safety. Contribute to a lively atmosphere by managing bar management tasks such as seating arrangements during peak times or nightclub events. Experience Proven experience in bartending within fine dining establishments, nightclubs, or hospitality settings; familiarity with the food industry is highly valued. Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing transactions efficiently. Extensive cocktail experience with a focus on mixology techniques; ability to create innovative beverages based on recipes or guest requests. Knowledge of wine varieties, spirits, craft beers, and beverage recipe development to enhance guest satisfaction. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple tasks effectively through time management skills. Previous food service experience including serving, bartending, or restaurant roles that demonstrate professionalism in fast-paced environments. Basic math skills for retail math calculations such as change-making and inventory management; understanding of food safety standards is essential. Experience in catering or banquet settings is a plus; familiarity with nightclub operations or event bartending adds value.
