Job Description

Overview Extreme Ice Center is a two-sheet ice rink located southeast of Charlotte, N.C. that provides year-round programs, leagues, classes and events for hockey, figure skating and recreational skating. Our in-house bar and restaurant, Center Ice Tavern, is seeking experienced bartenders that have a passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Duties Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and guest preferences. Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and offering recommendations on drinks and menu items. Handle cash and process transactions accurately using the Toast POS system. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food and beverages. Monitor inventory levels of bar supplies and communicate needs to management. Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service practices. Qualifications Previous experience in hospitality or the food industry is preferred, particularly in restaurant or bar settings. Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Familiarity with Toast or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to help colleagues as needed.
SCHEDULE & AVAILABILITY
PART-TIME -- Shift lengths are typically 6-8 hours.
Weekdays:
between 4 p.m. and 2 a.m.;
Weekends:
between 8 a.m. and 2 a.m. Shifts are available year-round at 20-30 hours per week. Part-time applicants must be available Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Weekday closing shifts available.
COMPENSATION
$7.25-12.00 per hour, plus tips. Tip pooling for credit card tips.
