Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Bartender is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service by preparing and serving high-quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for guests. This position plays a key role in supporting daily bar operations, maintaining cleanliness and organization, ensuring responsible alcohol service, and contributing to an outstanding guest experience at The Paradise.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service to all guests.
  • Verify guest identification and ensure responsible alcohol service in accordance with North Carolina ABC laws.
  • Accurately process cash, credit card, and electronic transactions through the POS system.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation throughout each shift.
  • Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishments, glassware, and supplies as needed.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning, stocking, and securing the bar.
  • Maintain knowledge of beverage offerings, promotions, and special events to assist guests with recommendations.
  • Communicate effectively with the Bar & Beverage Supervisor and fellow team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist with beverage service during private events, festivals, entertainment, and community events.
  • Report equipment issues, inventory shortages, and guest concerns to the Bar & Beverage Supervisor.
  • Follow all company policies, sanitation standards, and safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of The Paradise.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous bartending or customer service experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktail preparation preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
  • Must meet all legal requirements to serve alcoholic beverages in North Carolina.
