Job Description

Who are we: Merri-Makers was one of the first design caterers in NJ. Our all-encompassing catering services span the entire spectrum of special occasions including weddings, galas, fundraisers, corporate meetings and charity golf outings. Our team shares a passion for culinary mastery with thoughtful execution. Our 3 locations are the Ashford Estate (Allentown), Bonnet Estate (Manahawkin) and Mallard Estate (Manahawkin).
Job Descriptions:
Set up and stock the bar area with all necessary supplies, including liquor, wine, beer, garnishes, glassware, and equipment. Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner and take drink orders. Prepare and serve drinks accurately and efficiently according to recipes and guest preferences. Monitor guest alcohol consumption, politely refuse service to intoxicated individuals, and verify identification to ensure all guests are of legal drinking age. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting bar area throughout the event. Coordinate with catering and serving staff to facilitate smooth service, including champagne toasts and wine service during dinner. Break down the bar station at the end of the event, including cleaning equipment, disposing of trash, and accounting for unused inventory. Service Guests at their tables upon request
Qualifications:
Requires previous bartending experience, preferably in events, with knowledge of drink mixing and garnishing. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential. Must be able to work efficiently under pressure and maintain professionalism. Knowledge of alcohol laws and regulations is necessary. The role involves physical demands, including standing for long periods and lifting. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
