Bartenders must balance speed, accuracy, and hospitality while upholding the highest standards of professionalism, appearance, and communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide prompt, courteous, and consistent beverage service to Members. Greet Members professionally and address them by their formal name at all times. Prepare cocktails, wine, and beer strictly according to Club-approved recipes and pour standards. Maintain complete and detailed menu knowledge, including: Full wine-by-the-glass program, including producers, vintages, and tasting notes. All house and specialty cocktails and recipes as instructed. Full food menu knowledge for lunch, dinner, midday service, and any daily or special menus. Communicate clearly and efficiently with servers, kitchen staff, and management to support smooth service. Upsell beverages and make confident, knowledgeable recommendations to enhance the Member experience. Maintain responsibility for bar operations, including inventory management, keg room, liquor room, and daily bar readiness. Monitor draft systems, CO₂ levels, and keg status; rotate and restock product as needed. Ensure all beverages are properly rung through the POS or tracked for Member and banquet billing. Maintain a spotless, organized, and sanitary bar at all times. Lead by example and support front-of-house staff during service. Handle Member concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when appropriate.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of hospitality or private country club experience. Minimum 2 years of professional bartending experience. Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and craft cocktail fundamentals. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining poise and professionalism. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Open availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly Wage:
$18-$24 per hour (flexible based on experience). Benefits eligibility subject to plan terms and employment status, including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
