Come work in a fun atmosphere and learn the Marriott brand. The purpose of this position is to mix, pour drinks and perform other bar and restaurant related duties while providing outstanding service in a fast, efficient, and friendly manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet guests with a warm welcome, remain guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience. Ensure customer satisfaction by handling bar transactions and food orders in a fast, efficient, and friendly manner. Ring drink orders into POS immediately, collect payment, and make correct change. Mix, garnish and pour drinks according to standard recipes or portions, referring to recipe cards as needed. Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks. Adheres to proper food handling when assisting with serving or preparing food orders. The Bartender assists in food preparation and serving as needed. Assess customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations. Address any guest concerns in a calm and professional manner focused on creating a positive guest experience and involve a manager when necessary. Perform server functions for all food orders. Plan and present bar menu. Keep bar stocked with necessary beverages, food items, paper supplies, utensils, ice, and other supplies at all times. Work with others to keep all areas cleaned and stocked. Keep work station clean and well organized. Check customers' identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age. Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
Qualifications:
Must have a current Alcohol Server Certification in the state of New Mexico. Previous Bartending Experience Preferred. Physical Requirements Requires the ability to type and use a telephone, computer or the POS System. Able to walk and stand throughout the duration of a shift Able to up to 50 pounds occasionally Able to bend and kneel occasionally
