Job Description
Overview It is the responsibility of the Bus Person/Runner to clean and set tables and assist Food Servers in providing quality service to guests. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company's brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. - Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity). Responsibilities Attends pre-shift meetings. Maintains uniform appearance according to established guidelines. Sets-up stations and side areas and ensures that sufficient supplies are on-hand. Welcomes guests, removes extra set-ups, and serves water to guests. Serves additional beverages to guests as requested. Refills beverages as needed. Assists in pre-bussing tables throughout the course of the meal. Cleans and resets tables and cleans floor around tables at the end of the meal. Sorts dirty china, silverware, and glassware into appropriate bus tubs on the bus cart. Assist with sorting, polishing and rolling up silverware. Stocks condiments. Makes coffee, tea, etc. Assists Expo in running food. Wipes and cleans beverage dispensers and counters in the side stations. Assists Food Server as needed. Completes assigned side work. Assists with dishwashing and prep work, proportioning as needed. Assists with maintaining a neat, clean, and safe working environment. Turns-over/Takes-over station according to established procedure. Completes special projects as requested by Food & Beverage management. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Minimum age requirement is 18 years old. Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time. Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear. Ability to regularly move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds. Constantly walking up to distances of 500 ft. during shift. Frequently stooping, reaching.WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment. There are occasional hot and cold temperature changes. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a smoke-filled environment. Work with others in close spaces. Moderate to high noise levels. Walk/stand on tile/mats/carpet/cement. Pay Range USD $12.00 - USD $12.00 /Hr.
