Job Description

We're looking for a bartender to join our team at Much Obliged, a small cocktail bar in the East Village. We're a small team, so we're looking for someone reliable, easy to work with, and comfortable handling the bar when gets busy. You should have bartending experience and be comfortable making classic cocktails, working quickly, organized, and talking with guests. The job includes making cocktails, serving beer and wine, keeping the bar clean and organized, prepping garnishes and ingredients, restocking, and helping with opening and closing. We care a lot about hospitality. We want someone who is friendly and knows how to read the room — someone who can have a conversation with guests and make them feel welcome without overdoing it. NYC bartending experience is a plus, especially if you've worked in cocktail bars.
Pay:
$11.35/hour + tips
Schedule:
Friday and Saturday nights are required, with the possibility of adding Wednesday nights. We're looking for someone who: Has bartending experience Knows classic cocktails and basic spirits Is reliable and on time Works clean and organized Can handle a busy bar Is comfortable working with a small team Has good energy and is friendly with guests Is available every Friday and Saturday night If you're interested, send us a little about yourself and your bartending experience.
