BARTENDER Chez Josephine 414 West 42nd Street, New York, NY Chez Josephine is a long-standing French-American piano bistro in the heart of the Theater District, inspired by the spirit and legacy of Josephine Baker. Since 1986, we've been known for live piano, classic cocktails, French-American dining, and a warm old New York atmosphere that keeps people coming back for the experience as much as the food and drinks. We're looking for bartender/servers who genuinely enjoy hospitality and know how to take care of a room. People who can move with urgency during busy service while still making guests feel welcomed, relaxed, and part of the atmosphere. This is an independent restaurant with personality, energy, regulars, theater crowds, and a team environment where professionalism and awareness matter.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Restaurant, bartending, or hospitality experience preferred
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced NYC environment
• Strong communication and multitasking skills
• Knowledge of cocktails, wine, and classic service standards
• Organized, clean, and aware during service
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude
• Able to maintain strong guest awareness and room energy
• Toast POS experience is a plus
• Nights, weekends, and holiday availability required

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Welcome guests and create a strong first impression
• Serve food, wine, cocktails, and beverages with consistency and professionalism
• Maintain a clean and organized service/bar area
• Support the overall flow of service throughout the restaurant
• Work closely with the team during busy pre-theater and dinner service
• Help maintain the warm, lively atmosphere Chez Josephine is known for
