Bartender/ServerJob Overview We are looking for an energetic, friendly, and reliable Bartender/Server to join our team! This position is a combination of bartending and serving, so you will play an important role in creating a great experience for every guest. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, taking and serving food and beverage orders, preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, handling payments, and helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming restaurant and bar environment. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with people, can stay calm and organized during busy periods, works well as part of a team, and takes pride in providing great service. Responsibilities Greet guests in a friendly, welcoming, and professional manner. Must be 18+ years Take accurate food and beverage orders and provide menu recommendations when needed. Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes, portion standards, and applicable laws. Serve food and beverages promptly while checking on guests throughout their visit. Provide excellent customer service and help create a fun, positive, and welcoming atmosphere. Process cash and credit card transactions accurately using the POS system. Handle cash responsibly and provide correct change when needed. Check identification and follow all alcohol service laws and company policies. Monitor guests and refuse alcohol service when necessary in accordance with applicable laws and company policy. Maintain a clean and organized bar, dining, and service area throughout each shift. Complete opening, closing, side work, and cleaning duties as assigned. Restock beverages, glassware, supplies, condiments, and other necessary items. Monitor inventory and communicate low-stock or supply needs to management. Work closely with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure orders are accurate and guests are taken care of. Help resolve guest concerns professionally and involve a manager when necessary. Follow all food safety, sanitation, health, and safety procedures. Assist with keeping the restaurant and bar running smoothly during busy periods. Be willing to jump in and help other team members when needed. Requirements Previous bartending and/or serving experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. Knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, spirits, and responsible alcohol service is preferred. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tables, orders, and guest needs. Comfortable handling cash, credit card transactions, and POS systems. Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to stay organized and maintain a positive attitude during busy shifts. Must meet all legal age and certification requirements for serving alcohol in New York State. Food safety and alcohol service certifications are a plus. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform the physical duties required in a restaurant and bar environment.
