Description:
Work Location:
In-person role based in Windham, NY.
Seasonal Position:
This role is available for the winter season.
Pay:
13 per hour with pooled tips
Anticipated Start Dates:
Weather-dependent, typically beginning in early December.
Scheduling Expectations:
Part Time evening shifts on weekends and holidays are needed.
Conditions:
This role is primarily performed indoors in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Position Summary:
A Barback supports bartenders, assisting them in ensuring that all customer needs are met in an expedient, courteous and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Stock and replenish liquor, beer, mixers, ice, glassware, and other bar supplies. Assist with bar setup, breakdown, and daily operations. Clean and maintain bar areas, equipment, workstations, and guest areas. Support food service, special events, promotions, and remote beverage stations. Change beverage canisters and assist with inventory management. Follow all NYS Liquor Authority regulations and company policies. Provide friendly, professional service to guests and team members. Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old. TIPS certification required before starting employment. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a busy, high-energy environment. Comfortable handling cash, operating POS systems, and multitasking. Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 10 hours. Ability to navigate crowded areas while carrying trays and supplies. Ability to work on uneven terrain, including snow- and ice-covered surfaces. Ability to bend, reach, kneel, push, pull, and climb stairs as needed.
