The Pour House at Machinery Hall is looking for a Bartender to join our team! We're a busy restaurant and bar with a large craft beer selection, a variety of approachable cocktails, wine, and plenty of regulars and new faces coming through our doors. We're looking for someone who enjoys being around people, likes staying busy, and takes pride in giving guests a great experience from the moment they sit down at the bar. Our bartenders do a little bit of everything. You'll be making drinks, talking with guests, keeping up with a busy bar, and working with the rest of the team to keep service running smoothly. Our beverage program focuses on well-made, consistent cocktails and a strong craft beer selection, and we want someone who enjoys sharing that with our guests. You communicate well, support your coworkers, and understand that everyone plays a part in creating a successful shift.

Attitude:

You're dependable, personable, and bring a positive attitude to work. What You'll Do Take care of bar guests and provide friendly, attentive service. Prepare and serve cocktails, craft beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages. Follow established recipes and portion standards to maintain consistency. Help guests navigate our craft beer and cocktail selections and make recommendations when needed. Create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere at the bar. Accurately enter orders and payments into the POS system. Keep the bar clean, organized, and stocked throughout your shift. Maintain daily bar PAR levels and communicate when products need to be restocked. Complete opening, closing, and other daily bar responsibilities as needed. Follow responsible alcohol service practices and all applicable laws and company policies. Work with servers, bartenders, managers, and the kitchen to help keep service running smoothly. What We're Looking For Previous bartending or restaurant experience is preferred, but not required. Must be at least 21 years old. Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable interacting with guests. Able to stay calm, organized, and efficient in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable working independently and managing your responsibilities throughout your shift. Reliable, responsible, and willing to learn. Able to follow recipes, procedures, and established standards. Available to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
