Manage cash transactions efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, processing payments accurately while maintaining cash handling procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times. Develop creative beverage recipes and assist in menu updates to keep offerings fresh and exciting for guests. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food service during busy periods, supporting overall restaurant operations. Uphold responsible alcohol service practices by checking IDs, monitoring guest consumption, and preventing over-serving. Skills Extensive experience with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for order entry and transaction processing. Strong knowledge of mixology techniques, cocktail recipes, wine varieties, spirits, and craft beer options. Proven ability to manage time effectively during high-volume service periods while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude that fosters guest loyalty and satisfaction. Previous experience in fine dining environments or nightclubs is highly desirable; banquet or catering experience is a plus. Solid understanding of food safety protocols, food handling procedures, and basic math for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced hospitality setting.
