Village Tavern in Montgomery is looking for experienced bartenders who know how to make a great drink, take care of people, and have some fun while doing it. We're not looking for someone who just wants to stand behind a bar and pour beers. We want personalities. People who remember a regular's drink, can handle a packed bar without losing their cool, and know that great service is what keeps people coming back. Village Tavern is a busy neighborhood bar with sports, live music, DJs, karaoke, trivia, special events and plenty of regulars. Some shifts are laid back. Some are controlled chaos. If you like being busy, making money and working somewhere with some personality, you'll probably fit right in.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Make and serve beer, wine, cocktails and mixed drinks Take food orders and make sure guests get exactly what they ordered Keep your guests happy, your tabs accurate and your bar moving Use our SkyTab POS system to enter orders and process payments Keep the bar clean, stocked and ready for the rush Check IDs and follow Ohio liquor laws Keep an eye on alcohol consumption and help maintain a safe environment Handle opening and closing responsibilities Work alongside our bartenders, kitchen team, DJs and management Help us create a great atmosphere during Bengals games, college football, live music, karaoke, trivia, DJs and special events

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You don't have to be a professional mixologist who can make a cocktail while juggling bottles. But you do need to be dependable, friendly, quick on your feet and comfortable talking to people. Bartending experience is preferred. Experience with SkyTab by Shift4 is a bonus, but we can teach the system. You must be comfortable serving food as part of your shift and able to work nights, weekends and special events. You must be 21 or older and able to obtain any required alcohol service certifications. Most importantly, we want people who show up, work hard, take care of their customers and enjoy being part of a team.
