Duties Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit Take accurate food and beverage orders Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales Ensure timely delivery of food and drinks while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation Assist with food handling, preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring satisfaction Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements and optimize flow Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering duties and basic math calculations Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication between front-of-house and back-of-house operations Maintain a clean, organized work environment adhering to sanitation standards in food service Qualifications Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining is a plus Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach to guest interactions Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining guest satisfaction Basic math skills for cash handling and billing accuracy Previous host/hostess or bussing experience preferred but not required Culinary experience or kitchen knowledge is a bonus for understanding food preparation processes Join us if you're passionate about hospitality and eager to deliver exceptional dining experiences!
