About us La Grande Country Club is a private member-owned Country Club in La Grande, OR. Our goal is to provide an exceptional experience by combining our beautiful location with excellent facilities, programs, and services for our members' enjoyment.
PART TIME
Shifts and hours vary and are dependent on staff availability and time of year.
AVAILABILITY
Night and weekend availability is mandatory.
TIMELINE
Interviews will be scheduled beginning September 17.
Job Duties:
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
  • Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area
  • Check identification to verify legal drinking age
  • Adhere to all food safety and handling procedures when preparing garnishes and snacks
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Handle cash transactions and operate a cash register
  • Monitor alcohol consumption and prevent over-intoxication
  • Prepare simple food and snacks for customers Staff will also be fully trained to be knowledgeable and capable of working in the golf shop, but the bar will be your main department.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a bartender or in the food industry is not required
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and calculating drink prices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift medium to heavy objects
  • Must be at least 21 years old
