Job Description

Bartender Job DescriptionMinimum of $30-$35/hr with tips Birdie Time Pub is a mini golf bar that hosts over 1000 events a year. Our mission is to bring people together for unforgettable celebrations, offering a unique venue for social gatherings. We are family friendly until 7pm, every day. We host all major sporting events. Mini golf is our main attraction.
Position Summary:
This role requires excellent customer service skills, a basic understanding of mixology, basic understanding of event management, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and enjoyable bar environment. The bartender should be mostly self-sufficient and contribute to the culture of Birdie Time Pub.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and break down the bar. Keep the bar stocked with necessary beverages, ingredients, glassware, and supplies throughout each shift.

Occasionally do minimal table service of beer and premade items during events and on the mini golf course. Maintain a clean, organized bar that complies with health and safety standards. Bus and wipe down tables regularly. Set up and break down catering for events. Update Digital Pour and organize the cooler. Have an understanding of Fareharbor, Digital Pour, Square, and all event details including pricing, reservation spaces and more. Greet guests, take drink and food orders. Handle guest questions, requests, and complaints professionally, creating a positive experience for each patron.

Engage with guests, building relationships with regular customers, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.

Assist with event hosting, managing reservations, and greeting event guests as needed.

Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to bar and menu specifications.

Stay knowledgeable about seasonal drink specials, current trends, and bar menu options.

Suggest drinks to guests based on preferences, helping them explore new menu options.

Follow portion control guidelines to help manage costs and prevent over pouring.

Assist in promoting bar events, specials, and new menu items to guests.

Engage with guests on themed nights or events to enhance the atmosphere and increase participation.

Adhere to all local, state, and federal liquor laws, including checking ID for age verification.

Observe patrons alcohol consumption and report any concerns to management if necessary.

Follow all safety and sanitation protocols, maintaining food and beverage safety standards.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a bartender or in a similar role is required.

Basic knowledge of mixology and beverage trends.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Self driven, can work alone. Can work in a venue with children present. Ability to maintain being kind to staff and customers during a rush.

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Valid OLCC and Food Handler's certification. Ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods.

The ideal candidate is a personable and skilled bartender who enjoys creating memorable guest experiences, stays organized during busy shifts, and works well in a team-oriented environment.
