Job Description

Schedule:
10:30 AM-3:30
PM Pay:
$15/hour + all tips earned during your shift + tip-out from the evening bar
Availability:
Monday-Thursday preferred. Minimum availability of 2 days per week. What This Job Actually Is We're looking for a Day Bartender & Bar Prep person to handle our daytime bar service while preparing and setting up the bar for the evening shift. I don't care if you've been bartending for five years or have never stood behind a bar before. If you have little or no bartending experience, I am willing to train you. What I care about is your attitude, reliability, willingness to learn, and whether you actually want to become good at this. This is an especially good opportunity for someone who wants to learn bartending seriously , rather than simply learn how to pour beers, make vodka sodas, and take shots. We make our cocktail ingredients in-house—and when we say that, we actually mean it. You'll learn how to make things like: Simple and specialty syrups Orgeat Strawberry syrup Cinnamon syrup Honey syrup Spirit infusions Fresh juices and citrus Garnishes Other seasonal ingredients and whatever strange cocktail project we're experimenting with next You'll also learn our cocktail recipes, proper bar setup, organization, preparation, and eventually how to execute our drinks consistently during service. Our cocktail program is something we take seriously. We create drinks and ingredients you aren't going to find at every restaurant in King of Prussia. If you're interested in learning why a cocktail works instead of just memorizing how to make one, this is a very good place to start. What You'll Actually Be Doing Your shift will generally involve: Opening and completely setting up the bar Preparing syrups, infusions, juices, garnishes, and other cocktail ingredients Juicing citrus and cutting/preparing fruit Stocking liquor, beer, wine, glassware, and supplies Making cocktails according to our recipe guide Serving and taking care of daytime bar guests Keeping the bar clean, organized, and ready for service Checking prep levels and identifying what needs to be made Cleaning your equipment and workspace as you go Making sure the evening bartender walks into a clean, stocked, fully prepared bar There will be days when you're making cocktails for guests. There will also be days when you're squeezing citrus, making syrup, cutting fruit, washing containers, restocking bottles, and cleaning. Both are the job. What I'm Looking For Bartending experience is NOT required. I'd rather train someone with no experience who genuinely wants to learn than hire someone experienced who doesn't care about the work.
What I do expect:
Show up on time and ready to work Be dependable Be willing to learn Follow recipes exactly, we're looking for consistency, not everyone's personal version of a drink Keep your workspace clean and organized Be comfortable working independently Treat guests and coworkers well Ask questions when you don't know something Take pride in leaving the bar better than you found it Reliable transportation is strongly preferred. Who This Job Is Great For This position is especially suited for someone trying to get their foot in the door as a bartender but keeps running into the classic problem: "Every bartending job wants experience, but nobody will hire me so I can get experience." I'll give you that opportunity. I'll teach you. I'll give you recipes and standards to follow. You'll get hands-on experience making cocktails and preparing ingredients from scratch. What I need from you in return is reliability, effort, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. If you're looking for a few daytime shifts and genuinely want to learn the craft of bartending, I'd like to hear from you.
