Part-Time / Full-Time Availability | Nights & Weekends Session and Remedy are looking to add motivated, hospitality-driven bartenders and barbacks to our team. While our bars share the same standards for service, education, teamwork, and hospitality, each concept has its own identity: Remedy is our cocktail and spirits-focused bar, with an emphasis on craft cocktails, classic technique, spirits knowledge, creative development, and elevated cocktail service. Session is our taproom, built around a genuine passion for draft and canned beer, beer education, approachable hospitality, and fast-paced service. Whether your passion is cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, or hospitality as a whole, we want to build a team of people who are interested in becoming better at what they do.

On-Site Education We regularly host staff education and training classes covering topics such as: Spirits and spirit categories Beer styles and production Draft beer Classic and modern cocktails Cocktail technique Wine Product knowledge Service and hospitality We want our team to understand what they're serving, how it's made, why it tastes the way it does, and how to confidently communicate that knowledge to a guest. Certification Incentive Complete an approved industry certification related to your position and we will: Reimburse the cost of the certification Provide a $1/hour raise after you demonstrate and share the knowledge gained through staff training We want to reward people who actively invest in becoming better hospitality professionals. Cocktail Development Incentive Bartenders interested in cocktail creation will have opportunities to develop and showcase their own drinks. Original cocktails may be selected for specialty menus, seasonal menus, events, features, or other programming throughout the year. When one of your original cocktails is placed on an approved menu, you will receive: $1 for every cocktail sold. We want our bartenders to have the opportunity to contribute creatively to the program and be rewarded when their ideas perform.
BARTENDER
Our bartenders need to balance speed, accuracy, hospitality, product knowledge, and personality. You should be comfortable working in a busy environment, communicating with your team, maintaining an organized station, learning detailed beverage specifications, and providing guests with knowledgeable and approachable service. Previous experience is preferred, but we also value work ethic, curiosity, coachability, and a genuine interest in learning. Bartender Responsibilities Provide friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable guest service Prepare beverages consistently according to house specifications Work efficiently during high-volume service Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked workstation Learn our cocktail, spirit, beer, and wine programs Develop strong product knowledge Properly execute cocktail techniques including shaking, stirring, straining, building, measuring, and garnishing Serve draft beer correctly and maintain proper beer-service standards Learn beer styles, breweries, draft offerings, and packaged beer selections Communicate effectively with bartenders, barbacks, servers, and management Complete opening, closing, cleaning, and side-work responsibilities Assist with batching, juices, syrups, garnishes, and other beverage preparation when necessary Maintain proper storage, labeling, rotation, and sanitation standards Follow responsible alcohol-service procedures Participate in staff trainings and continuing education Support the entire bar team during service Preferred Bartender Qualifications Previous bartending experience High-volume bar experience preferred Craft cocktail or beer knowledge is a plus Basic knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, and classic cocktails Desire to continue learning about beverages and hospitality Strong communication and multitasking skills Ability to remain organized under pressure Coachable and receptive to feedback Reliable and punctual Available evenings, weekends, and late nights Must meet all South Carolina requirements for serving alcohol
BARBACK A
strong barback is one of the most important people behind a successful bar. We are looking for people who are fast, observant, organized, and proactive. Great barbacks learn the rhythm of the bar and begin anticipating what bartenders need before they have to ask. Barback Responsibilities Keep wells stocked with spirits, beer, wine, juices, syrups, garnishes, ice, glassware, and other supplies Refill ice quickly throughout service Maintain continuous clean glassware Restock draft, canned, and bottled beer Restock liquor, mixers, and other bar products Maintain organized back-stock and storage areas Assist bartenders with garnishes, juices, batches, and basic prep Remove trash, recycling, empty bottles, and used glassware Keep wells, coolers, floors, and service areas clean Anticipate bartender needs during high-volume service Assist with opening and closing responsibilities Follow proper labeling, sanitation, storage, and product-rotation procedures Participate in staff education and training Communicate clearly with bartenders and management Move quickly while maintaining organization and safety Preferred Barback Qualifications Previous restaurant, bar, or hospitality experience preferred but not required Strong work ethic Sense of urgency Ability to stay organized while working quickly Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment Ability to lift and move cases, kegs, ice, and other bar supplies Reliable and punctual Available nights and weekends Willingness to learn For candidates interested in eventually bartending, the barback position provides an opportunity to learn our beverage programs, participate in staff education, build product knowledge, and develop toward future bartending opportunities based on performance and readiness.
