Full Job Description Job Description Position Title:

Barn Staff Position Purpose:

Responsible for the daily care, feeding & health of every horse. Responsible for maintaining the facility in working order.

Organizational Relationships:

Barn Manager Primary Duties:

Work barn shifts (Sundays and weekdays) as coordinated by the Barn Manager Ensure barn duties are being done in a safe, efficient, and thorough manner Check the general health & welfare of all horses, each day, & report any problem to the Barn Manager. Carry out treatments, medications & rehabilitation as directed Execute facility maintenance as directed by the barn manager such as dragging pastures, mowing, spreading, and watering the arena Maintain and clean the facility as needed Support hurricane planning and evacuating •Must be able to lift 50lbs and walk 1-3miles/shift

Training & Education Preferred:

Extensive experience caring for horses Prior Experience Preferred Advanced horse handling skills Adaptable and flexible in a busy environment History of ability to work with diverse groups of people to create a professional environment Good interpersonal and public communication skills (in person, phone, written, and electronic) Self-motivated and independent worker with appreciation for being part of a collaborative team

Pay:
