This will be a two day a week position through the fall and winter, but turning into more full time in the spring and summer if desired. Duties Serve customers both behind the bar and at tables. Engage with guests in a friendly, energetic manner to enhance their overall experience. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards. Follow directions on drink menu as well as make basic standard cocktails Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments, and give correct change using POS systems. Monitor inventory levels of alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and supplies; restock as needed to ensure smooth operations. Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to coordinate service during busy periods or special events such as banquets or catering functions. Uphold responsible alcohol service policies by checking IDs and recognizing signs of intoxication. Assist in bar management duties including scheduling, training new staff, and maintaining a positive team environment.
Experience Proven bartending experience in fine dining or high-volume restaurant settings is highly preferred. Extensive knowledge of spirits, wine varieties, craft beers, cocktail recipes, and mixology techniques. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions efficiently. Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders seamlessly during peak hours. Previous food service experience with an understanding of food safety standards and proper handling procedures. Experience in beverage recipe development or creating signature cocktails is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and energetically. Knowledge of hospitality industry practices including cash handling, retail math, food safety protocols, and serving regulations.
