Duties Curate and recommend wine selections that complement menu offerings and enhance guest experiences Serve wine with professionalism, ensuring proper pouring techniques and presentation standards Assist guests in selecting wines based on their preferences and meal choices, upselling where appropriate Maintain accurate wine inventory, including storage, rotation, and stock levels Collaborate with the culinary team on menu planning and wine pairings to optimize guest satisfaction Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions about wine varieties, and sharing knowledge about wine regions and tasting notes Lead or support team efforts in wine tastings, training sessions, and special events like banquets or catering functions Requirements Proven experience in a restaurant or food service environment with fine dining or banquet experience Strong knowledge of wines, including wine service techniques and wine regions Familiarity with POS systems for inventory management and sales processing Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell and sell wine confidently to guests Ability to handle food safety standards, proper food handling, and serving protocols Culinary experience or background in food preparation is a plus for understanding food pairings Team leadership skills for mentoring staff and supporting a collaborative work environment Knowledge of the food and beverage industry trends, including catering and event service experience is desirable Join us as a Sommelier and bring your passion for wines into a lively setting where your expertise makes every guest's experience extraordinary.
