Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, process cash and card transactions efficiently while maintaining cash handling accuracy. Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, beverage options, and recommending pairings or specials. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and beverage stations in compliance with food safety standards. Develop new beverage recipes and contribute to the bar's creative offerings by staying current on cocktail trends, brewing techniques, and spirits knowledge. Manage multiple tables or bar stations simultaneously through effective time management skills to ensure prompt service during busy hours. Assist with food service duties when needed, including serving dishes at tables or during catering events such as banquets or nightclubs. Uphold all food safety regulations and proper handling procedures to ensure guest safety and satisfaction at all times. Skills Proven experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; strong cash handling skills are essential. Extensive knowledge of mixology techniques including cocktail creation, spirits selection, wine knowledge, and beverage recipe development. Prior experience in fine dining environments or nightlife venues like nightclubs enhances your ability to thrive in fast-paced settings. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor; ability to engage guests professionally while managing multiple responsibilities. Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours without compromising quality. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices within the hospitality industry. Familiarity with craft beer brewing processes or catering experience is a plus; basic math skills are necessary for accurate sales transactions and retail math calculations. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and special events such as banquets or catering functions.
