Job Description

Wimberley Valley Winery is seeking an enthusiastic, outgoing and easy to talk to Tasting room bartender to join our winery family. Our ideal candidate will create an amazing customer experience, cultivate relationships, and drive sales.
About the position:
Tasting room bartenders are the face of Wimberley Valley Winery's brand and are responsible for providing wine tasting experiences that engage, excite, and inspire each and every guest.
Qualifications:
Must be 21+ years of age Must maintain a neat, professional appearance Must Maintain a current TABC seller-server certificate Must possess a sense of urgency and positivity while being a team player Must be able to work Saturdays and most holidays Must be outgoing and possess great communication skills Must have the ability to multitask and complete duties, tasks, and projects, despite interruptions. Must be able to remain standing and actively working for up to 8-10 hours with limited breaks Must have the ability to lift up to 45 lbs. repeatedly Greet all visitors to the winery and pour wines for tasting Create a memorable experience for the guests Describe wines and winery history; answer visitors' questions about wines Provide general tourist information Promote Wine Club membership Handle routine sales transactions which include operating POS system and accounting of daily sales Assist with display and stocking of retail items and wines Assist in maintaining cleanliness of facilities Assist with hospitality special events as needed Acquire and maintain thorough knowledge of winery and its wines No prior wine/winery experience required - just a willingness to learn!
Pay:
$10/hour + tip pool ($200-400/ weekend)
