Job Description
Stonehouse Villa is looking for an Assistant Wedding Coordinator to join our wedding day team! If you love weddings, are organized, energetic, good with people, and the type of person who sees something that needs to be done and just does it — we want to hear from you! Our Assistant Coordinators work alongside our Day-of Coordinators to help keep wedding days running smoothly and make sure our couples, families, and vendors have a great experience. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves events and wants to gain more hands-on experience in the wedding industry. What You'll Be Doing You'll work closely with the Day-of Coordinator throughout the wedding day to help with all the little things that keep the event moving.
Responsibilities may include:
Assisting the Day-of Coordinator with the wedding day timeline Helping coordinate the ceremony and reception Assisting with wedding party lineups and processional/recessional Helping direct guests when needed Assisting vendors with finding their setup locations and answering basic venue questions Helping with vendor arrivals and setup Checking that tables, chairs, décor, signage, and other details are set up correctly Helping with ceremony and reception transitions Assisting the couple and wedding party throughout the day Helping keep the bridal and groom suites organized Making sure personal items and wedding details are where they need to be Helping with guest needs and questions Communicating anything that needs attention to the Day-of Coordinator Assisting with breakdown and end-of-night venue responsibilities Jumping in wherever needed to help the wedding day run smoothly You won't be expected to know everything right away. You'll be working alongside an experienced Day-of Coordinator and learning how we do things at Stonehouse. Friday, Saturday & Sunday are primarily wedding days. Wedding days can be long and active, so you should be comfortable working evenings and weekends and being on your feet for extended periods. We're Looking For Someone Who... Is reliable and punctual Is organized and pays attention to details Has a positive, helpful attitude Is comfortable talking to guests, clients, and vendors Can follow direction but also knows how to take initiative Doesn't mind jumping in and getting their hands dirty Can stay calm when things get busy Is comfortable being on their feet and moving around throughout the day Works well as part of a team Is professional but friendly Is willing to learn Loves weddings and events! Previous wedding or event experience is a plus, but it's not required. We're much more interested in finding someone who is dependable, hardworking, personable, and ready to learn. Interested?
