Job Description

Hill Country Herb Garden is seeking Bartenders. We are open Tuesday through Sunday serving upscale, casual food. Our bar/beverage program features craft cocktails, Texas wine, fresh juices and smoothies, teas, coffee and espresso. We are looking for bartenders who are passionate about crafting speciality drinks (alcoholic and nonalcoholic) and hospitality. Bartenders start at $18/ hour + tips. Weekend availability required. We are seeking bartenders for the following shifts:
Fri:
5pm•9pm
Sat:
9am•2pm | 5pm•9pm

RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide excellent customer service Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers and for table service Interact with customers, take orders, and provide recommendations Serve alcoholic beverages according to TABC guidelines and regulations. Greet and serve guests at the bar. Prepare craft cocktails adhering to the company's recipes and drink compositions. Handle cash and credit transactions Stock beer and wine coolers. Communicate with all staff. Serve food to bar guests Unpack deliveries and stock bar. Complete opening and closing duties as specified. Must be knowledgeable about the entire menu offerings, hours of operation, and holiday calendar. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum one to two years of bartending experience preferred Basic understanding of POS systems Team player with a positive attitude and desire to learn. Passion for mixology and hospitality Strong work ethic Detail and quality oriented while maintaining efficiency Outstanding communication and customer service skills. Extensive liquor, beer, wine and mixology knowledge a plus Ability to walk and work in a standing position for long periods of time Ability to reach, bend, stoop and occasionally lift items around the restaurant Ability to reach, bend, stoop and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. TABC certification Food handlers certification.
