About the Role We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Bartender to join our team. The Bartender is responsible for providing excellent customer service while maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar. This role includes preparing and serving beverages, accurately processing customer transactions, managing inventory, completing opening and closing procedures, and ensuring the bar is ready for a great customer experience throughout the shift. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, handles cash and transactions responsibly, communicates well with customers and management, and takes pride in keeping their workspace clean and organized. Key Responsibilities Provide friendly, professional, and attentive customer service to all guests. Prepare and serve beverages according to established standards. Greet customers, take orders, and provide a welcoming experience. Accurately enter orders, manage tabs, and process payments using the POS system. Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and responsibly. Complete daily cash counts and reconciliation procedures and promptly report discrepancies to management. Maintain a clean, sanitary, organized, and visually appealing bar area, including the bar top, equipment, shelves, seating, windows, sinks, refrigerators, and surrounding areas. Complete opening and closing procedures according to established checklists. Monitor inventory levels and communicate product or supply needs to management. Receive supplier deliveries, verify products against invoices, and inspect products for quality and accuracy. Properly store products using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures. Maintain accurate inventory records and document product movements, discrepancies, damages, spills, and other incidents. Restock beverages, supplies, refrigerators, and other bar necessities throughout the shift. Prepare garnishes and other bar supplies needed for service. Maintain and clean bar equipment, draft systems, ice containers, bar mats, trays, and other work areas. Follow all established cash-handling, inventory, sanitation, security, and closing procedures. Communicate any customer concerns, operational issues, product shortages, or incidents to management. Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety, sanitation, cash handling, and customer service. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Opening Shift Responsibilities Opening Bartenders are responsible for ensuring the bar is fully prepared before service begins.
Duties may include:
Arriving approximately 15 minutes before the scheduled shift to prepare for work and check in. Counting the initial cash drawer and completing the required cash reconciliation. Completing the opening inventory count and reporting missing or low-stock items. Checking and preparing the walk-in refrigerator and bar supplies. Cleaning and sanitizing the bar, windows, equipment, and surrounding areas. Preparing ice, garnishes, cocktail rimmers, towels, and other supplies needed for service. Turning on TVs and preparing the bar and entrance for customers. Receiving and inspecting supplier deliveries when applicable. Completing required opening photo and inventory reports.
Tuesday and Thursday opening shifts:
Employees scheduled to open on Tuesdays or Thursdays must arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled start time to allow for bill and coin exchange with management. Closing Shift Responsibilities Closing Bartenders are responsible for leaving the bar clean, stocked, secure, and ready for the next shift.
Duties may include:
Completing last call procedures and closing all customer checks. Adding credit card tips and completing the POS closing process. Counting the cash drawer and completing the required cash reconciliation. Securing cash and preparing required deposits according to company procedures. Documenting inventory discrepancies, product movement, damages, spills, or other incidents. Restocking refrigerators and completing the final inventory count. Cleaning and sanitizing bar surfaces, equipment, draft spouts, trays, mats, sinks, and other work areas. Properly storing or disposing of remaining garnishes and perishable products. Cleaning and storing bar supplies and equipment. Sweeping and mopping the bar area and surrounding space. Removing trash and cardboard and properly storing cleaning equipment. Completing required closing photo reports. Securing refrigerators and the bar area before checking out. Qualifications Previous bartending, serving, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred. Ability to provide friendly and professional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to accurately handle cash, credit card transactions, and daily reconciliations. Comfortable learning and using a POS system. Reliable and punctual, with the ability to consistently complete opening and closing responsibilities. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, suppliers, and management. Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the shift. Ability to work independently and follow established procedures. Must meet all applicable legal requirements to serve alcoholic beverages. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during a shift. Ability to lift and carry beverage cases, supplies, and other items as needed. Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform routine cleaning duties. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
Pay:
From $10.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
