Job Description
Daytime Bartender Downtown Grub Hub Odessa, TX Job Details Part-time | Full-time Up to $16 an hour 3 days ago Qualifications Food service health code compliance Interpersonal skills TABC Certification Beverage preparation Food Handler Certification Full Job Description Downtown Grub Hub is an outdoor bar and restaurant in the heart of Odessa, and we're looking for a solid morning bartender to join the crew. If you're a morning person who knows their way around a bar — or just someone who'd rather be off before the sun goes down — this one's for you. What you'll be doing: Opening and running the bar during morning and afternoon hours (Tue-Sat, 10AM-5PM) Mixing drinks, serving cold beers, and keeping guests happy Keeping the bar clean, stocked, and ready to roll Preparing garnishes and ensuring evening shifts have what they need Preparing drink mixes (margarita, lemonade, etc) Handling cash and tabs accurately (We use Square POS) Being a team player — and occasionally covering an evening shift when we need the backup What we're looking for: Prior bartending experience preferred (but we'll train the right person) TABC certification required (or willingness to get certified before starting) Food handlers permit required, because you will be touching all those limes and lemons Reliable — if you say you'll be there at 10, we mean 10 Good energy and a friendly face, even before noon Self-motivation — we don't like to micromanage, we leave you alone to do your job Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs Flexibility to cover an evening shift occasionally is a big plus What we offer: Competitive base pay — we know morning tips aren't the same as Friday night tips and we pay accordingly Consistent, predictable schedule with weekends off (Sunday and Monday) A laid-back environment where the regulars actually know your name
