Position Summary The Bartender is responsible for creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for guests by preparing and serving beverages with efficiency and professionalism. This position requires strong customer service skills, knowledge of drink preparation, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Bartender ensures all bar areas are clean, well-stocked, and compliant with local alcohol regulations. Maintain knowledge of the drink menu, ingredients, and bar offerings. Check guest identification to ensure legal drinking age requirements are met. Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including counters, equipment, and storage. Restock supplies and ingredients as needed throughout the shift. Handle transactions accurately using the POS system and manage tabs. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests and creating a positive atmosphere. Follow all alcohol service laws and safety guidelines. Monitor guest behavior and report any safety or security concerns to management. Other tasks as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be 21 years or older. Previous bartending experience preferred. Must have or obtain a valid Utah alcohol server certification within 30 days of hire ( at the team member's expense ). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure. Reliable, punctual, and detail oriented. Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and evenings. Essential Physical Functions Must be able to stand for prolonged periods behind the bar and service areas. Must be able to lift and carry kegs, cases, ice bins, and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds . Requires frequent reaching (including overhead), bending, twisting, and repetitive hand and wrist movements. Must be able to work in a loud, high-traffic hospitality environment. Visual acuity sufficient to identify guests, read labels, measure pours, and prepare beverages accurately. Auditory ability sufficient to hear guest orders and team communication.
