A Bartender mixes and prepares cocktails and serves drinks to customers. Works with other wait staff in a bar or restaurant; checks to be sure that customers are legal drinking age. May work at private parties.
Daily care of the animals on the farm: Stall cleaning, feeding, and watering. Moving animals between dry lots, pastures and barns. Keep barn aisles clean and swept. Assist with stacking and storing hay, feed, and supplements. Assist with routine husbandry tasks, including vaccinations, tattooing, microchipping, hoof trimming, deworming, hair clipping etc. Assist with blood draws for routine health screening. Assist with breeding tasks, pregnant doe care, and kid care, including bottle feeding and bucket training kids. Attentiveness to the welfare of the animals, and bio-security is critical. Communicate regularly about health and care of animals. Ability to observe and promptly communicate concerns regarding individual animals. Assist with other farm activities, including grounds maintenance, fencing repair, composting, and irrigation. Ability to drive a tractor and RTV a plus; willing to train Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. Ability to take direction, constructive criticism, and work independently. A positive and enthusiastic attitude. Must have own vehicle. Must be dependable, and punctual. Must be comfortable working around large farm dogs. Flexibility as farm tasks change seasonally.
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent Experience and/or strong desire to work with livestock. Pre-veterinary students encouraged to apply. Prior 4H/FFA dairy animal experience preferred, but not required
