Craft beer Bartender/Server (Part-time)

Average $40 per hour

Position Requirements:

Positive attitude: A friendly, positive, and enthusiastic demeanor is essential for creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for guests. Displaying a genuine passion for craft beer and a dedication to providing exceptional customer service is highly valued.

Experience:

Prior experience working as a server or bartender is preferred but not required. Familiarity with the craft beer industry and knowledge of different beer styles, brands, and brewing techniques is a plus.

Product knowledge:

Cicerone Certified Beer server is preferred. We willing to reimburse you to be Cicerone Certified Beer server after you joined our team within 3 months. A solid understanding of the craft beer offerings available at the establishment, including the different beer styles, flavors, and ingredients, is crucial. Being able to make recommendations based on customer preferences and answer questions about the menu is highly valued.

Communication skills:

Excellent verbal communication skills are essential for interacting with guests in a friendly and professional manner. Active listening skills and the ability to understand and fulfill customer requests are also important.

Efficiency and multitasking:

As a bartender/server, you will be responsible for managing multiple tasks simultaneously. This includes taking orders, preparing drinks, serving food, handling payments, and ensuring a smooth flow of service. Strong organizational and multitasking skills are necessary to handle a fast-paced environment.

Problem-solving skills:

The ability to think quickly on your feet and resolve customer concerns or complaints in a professional and efficient manner is important. Being proactive and finding solutions to issues that arise during service is highly valued.

Teamwork:

Collaboration and cooperation with other staff members, including servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, and managers, is essential for a seamless customer experience. Being a team player and maintaining a positive attitude is vital.

Responsible service:

Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices, such as checking IDs, monitoring guest alcohol consumption, and refusing service when necessary, is crucial to ensure the safety and well-being of customers.

Physical stamina:

The job of a server or bartender often requires standing for extended periods, carrying trays, and lifting heavy kegs or cases of beer. Having the physical stamina to handle the physical demands of the job is necessary.

Other Essential Job Functions:

• Performs daily cash reconciliation.
• Completes opening duties and side work.
• Ensures adequate supplies are ready for bar operations.
• Follows set-up procedures.
• Greets all guests promptly.
• Reviews all guest checks for accuracy and presents them in a timely manner.
• Reports all complaints to the manager as soon as they occur.
• Maintains and cleans equipment. Able to change beer kegs.
• Checks to be sure par stock is ready before opening of shift.
• Cleans up and locks-up according to prescribed procedures.
• Keeps accurate monthly inventory of all glassware, with reports of breakage.
• Keeps an accurate count on all lost drinks and breakage of any liquor bottles.
• Available to work on weekends, holidays and Sundays
• Being on time and following the policies and procedures that are in place are extremely important.

$30.00 - $45.00 per hour
