Job Description
Overview Join our vibrant team as a combined Barback and Bartender, where energy, enthusiasm, and exceptional service come together to create memorable experiences for our guests. In this dynamic role, you will support bartenders by ensuring the bar area is clean, well-stocked, and organized while also engaging directly with customers to deliver outstanding beverage service. Your proactive attitude and attention to detail will help maintain a lively atmosphere and uphold our high standards of safety and hospitality. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food and beverage service within a fast-paced venue environment. Duties Assist bartenders by restocking bar supplies, garnishes, glassware, and beverages efficiently throughout the shift Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including bar cleaning, surface sanitation, and equipment upkeep in compliance with food service bar safety standards Buss tables and clear empty glasses or dishes promptly to ensure a clean and inviting environment for guests Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, equipment, or trash disposal safely and effectively Support food preparation activities when needed, including basic food handling and ensuring proper hygiene practices Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for cash handling and order processing accurately Communicate clearly with team members to coordinate service flow and address guest needs promptly Uphold all food industry regulations and venue beverage service protocols to ensure guest safety and satisfaction Skills Proven experience in food service, bar experience, or restaurant settings with a focus on customer service excellence Familiarity with venue beverage service procedures and bar safety compliance standards Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during busy shifts Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient cashiering and order management Experience with catering, banquet service, or hotel food industry environments is a plus Basic math skills for cash handling, bill splitting, and inventory counting Previous barista experience or food preparation background is advantageous Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism Join us in creating an energetic atmosphere where guests feel welcomed and valued!
