Job Overview A new retail and drinks establishment is opening in Coupeville and is looking for a Soda Jerk and Retail Sales Associate combo to provide energy and enthusiasm to a new, dynamic retail/drinks environment. In this role, you will craft delicious, nostalgic sodas and treats and assisting customers with their retail purchases all while providing exceptional customer service. Your lively personality and attention to detail will help create a fun, welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. Duties Prepare and serve a variety of soda fountain drinks, ice cream treats, and snacks with precision and flair. Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process transactions accurately and handle cash or card payments. Assist customers by answering questions about products, dietary restrictions, and recommending popular items to boost sales through upselling techniques Maintain attractive merchandising displays, ensure shelves are stocked, and organize products to maximize visual appeal. Manage inventory by stocking supplies, checking product freshness, and recording stock levels to prevent shortages. Provide friendly customer service by greeting guests warmly, practicing good phone etiquette, and addressing inquiries promptly. Maintain overall store cleanliness by sanitizing kitchen and drink prep areas, sanitizing bathrooms, taking out the trash, as well as keeping the sales floor tidy and presentable. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales, barista, or food environments is preferred but not required. Food worker card is required within 5 days of hiring. Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math to ensure accurate transactions Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work in a fast-paced setting with energy and efficiency. This position is for 3-4 days with ~7 hour shifts. Weekend work is required. $18.50 p/hr.

Physical requirements:

Must be able to lift 50lbs. Requires standing or walking for 8 hours of the day. Physical labors; sweeping, dusting, using ladders, using steps, maneuvering tight spaces, etc. Chemical usage (i.e. soap, sanitizer, etc.)

Pay:

$18.50 per hour Expected hours: 21.0 - 29.0 per week
