We are looking for a Lead Bartender to deliver excellent service and set a great example for their team. We have a elevated Afternoon Tea Service program with a prefixed menu on Friday-Saturday-Sunday 11am-5pm, a Dessert Cafe opening March 25th, and we run an Evening Lounge program in the summer. We are a small team of individuals who care deeply about hospitality, creating beautiful products, and maintaining an elevated customer service experience. This position requires a high level of service, rapid menu development, innovation, collaboration with management and the owner, ability to train and coach, inventory management and purchasing skills, and a broad knowledge of wine and spirits.
Primary Responsibilities:
Menu Development and execution Willingness to serve as needed alongside cocktail/wine service Develop cleaning and bar maintenance schedules, and take responsibility for maintaining those areas Guide customers through their dining experience, make recommendations on menu items according to their preferences, and communicate all dietary restrictions and special requests to the kitchen. Ensure that the dining area and tables are clean before, during, and after service Maintain tidiness of guest tables throughout service and follow all health and safety requirements and advice.
Requirements for this position:
5 Years MINIMUM Craft Bartending Experience Experience in Menu Development Experience in Purchasing and Stock Management Food Handler's Permit and MAST 12 Permit Ability to take constructive criticism and grow with a positive attitude Time management and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to accommodate changes and remain professional at all times Willingness to help others and work well in a team oriented environment Attention-to-detail Excellent problem-solving skills Solid communication skills, ability to ask for help / guidance when needed Ability to gracefully serve pours and plates tableside Initiative to take action on work related tasks without directive from supervisor Ability to comprehend instructions quickly Passion for food, beverage, and hospitality Willingness/Ability to work weekends and holidays Ability to stand for long periods of time
Preferred Skills:
Experience in fine dining service
MINIMUM 5
years of bartending/mixology experience Experience in afternoon tea service Previous Leadership experience
Job Details:
