Job Description
Seasonal Server/Bartender La Cocina | Port Townsend, WA About the position La Cocina is looking for a warm, capable, and dependable seasonal part-time Server/Bartender to join our team. This is a guest-facing role for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming experience, knows how to move with a busy service, and takes pride in good food, drinks, and hospitality. You'll work across both the dining room and bar, taking care of guests from their first hello through the end of their meal. We're looking for someone who can be attentive without hovering, confident without being overly formal, and able to keep their cool when service gets busy. What you'll do Welcome guests and provide thoughtful, attentive table service Take food and beverage orders and accurately enter them into the POS Prepare and serve beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages Make thoughtful recommendations and answer questions about the menu Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining room and bar Run food and drinks and communicate clearly with the kitchen and FOH team Handle payments and cash responsibly Follow responsible alcohol service and food-safety practices Help wherever needed to keep service running smoothly What we're looking for Previous serving and/or bartending experience preferred Strong communication and people skills Reliable and punctual Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Able to stay organized and composed during busy service Genuine interest in food, drinks, and hospitality Comfortable learning our menu and talking with guests about what we serve Able to work evenings, weekends, and during the seasonal holiday period Must be legally able to serve alcohol in Washington State The kind of person who will thrive here We care about hospitality that feels genuine.
