We are looking for a skilled, passionate, and professional cocktail bartender to join our team and uphold the standards that have made Tavern Law a cornerstone of Seattle's bar scene.

The Role As a full-time bartender at Tavern Law and Needle & Thread, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional cocktail experiences across both venues. You are someone who takes pride in technique, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and brings genuine warmth to every guest interaction.

Responsibilities include:

Crafting classic and original cocktails with precision and consistencyProviding knowledgeable, personable service to a discerning clienteleContributing to menu development and seasonal programmingParticipating in social media content for Tavern Law and Needle & Thread, including being photographed and filmed behind the barMaintaining a clean, organized, and compliant bar environmentCollaborating with front- and back-of-house teams to deliver seamless serviceUpholding responsible alcohol service practices (MAST certification required or must obtain prior to first shift)Standards & ExpectationsSocial Media Participation (Required) Our bartenders are the face of Tavern Law and Needle & Thread, and social media is a core part of how we share our program. Everyone on the team is expected to take part in our content. That means appearing in photos and videos, showing technique and new menu items, and helping bring the bar's personality to our audience. You don't need a large following. You do need to be comfortable on camera and excited to show off the craft. Content work is scheduled during paid shifts.

Dress Code & Personal Grooming Our guests expect a polished experience, and that starts with how we present ourselves.

Team members are expected to:

Follow the house dress code and arrive for every shift in clean, pressed, well-kept attireKeep a neat, professional appearance that fits an upscale cocktail settingMeet grooming and hygiene standards suited to food and beverage service, including clean hands and nails and hair kept neat and secured away from the work area as neededThe full dress code is provided at hire.

Qualifications5+ years of cocktail bartending experience in an established bar or fine-dining environmentDeep knowledge of spirits, classic cocktail canon, and contemporary techniquesStrong communication skills and a guest-first mindsetWillingness to appear on camera and take part in social media contentCommitment to upholding our dress code and grooming standardsAbility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as requiredWashington State MAST Permit (or ability to obtain before start date)Food Handler's Permit (or ability to obtain before start date)Must be 21 years of age or older

Compensation & BenefitsWage:

$21.30/hour (Seattle minimum wage) plus tips

Schedule:

Full-time, 4 days per week
