Bixenberg Tavern Job Summary:

Hi! My Brother and I opened this bar and grill about 3 years ago after extensive remodeling. We are a very friendly neighborhood bar and grill that is family oriented. As a Bartender and Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, taking food orders, and crafting drinks for customers. We require that you have previous experience working in a very busy fast paced environment. Often times on Fridays the building will be packed and you will be expected to work fast and efficiently. If your on a closing shift you will most likely be totally done and out the door by 10

• 10:30pm.

You will never be alone while closing and currently I (Flynn the owner) do a lot of the cleaning and closing tasks. A 5 hour shift usually averages between $100 to $200 in just tips. On top of that you will be paid $8 and hour. This is a great place to work, everyone is friendly, respectful, and helpful. We often do sports leagues like volleyball in the summer and soccer in the winter as a group. We look forward to hearing from you,

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and take their drink orders promptly
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all supplies are stocked
• Check identification to verify legal drinking age and refuse service to intoxicated or underage individuals
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, using a cash register or POS system
• Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations and answering any questions they may have
• Upsell additional food and beverage items to enhance the guest experience
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations, ensuring proper handling of food and beverages
• Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders to customers
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning glasses, restocking inventory, and securing the bar area

Skills:

• Strong mathematical skills for accurately calculating bills and making change
• Proficiency in operating a cash register or POS system
• Knowledge of various drink recipes and mixology techniques
• Experience working in a restaurant, banquet, or catering environment preferred
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
• Familiarity with food handling, food service, and food safety practices
