Job Overview As a Bartender, you'll help create a welcoming atmosphere while providing outstanding food and beverage service to hotel guests and visitors. From mixing cocktails to building guest connections, you'll play an important role in delivering a great dining and social experience. Responsibilities Pleasantly greeting our guests as they approach the bar; promoting house drinks and utilizing up-selling skills to maximize revenues Preparing beverages requested by customers, adhering to established pouring standards and drink recipes to provide a consistent product to the guests and to control costs Understands and follows the laws and guidelines for beverage service Checks guests for proper identification, manages method of payment, and serves alcohol according to State, Federal and corporate liquor regulations. Skills Minimum one year restaurant bartending experience, preferably in an upscale high volume environment Must meet minimum age to serve alcohol based on applicable state law Formal bartending training preferred Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, preparation methods and garnishments Knowledge of local, state and federal liquor laws and regulations Thorough understanding of safe and perceptive service Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills Ability to do basic math and handle cash Ability to work with Point of Sale systems Highly organized - demonstrate ability to proactively prioritize needs, put first things first, and effectively manage resources and time Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Physical Demands:

Required to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of times Lift, carry, or otherwise move and use of force or exertion up to 75 lbs. Use of manual dexterity of common office equipment; such as but not limited to, computers, printers, phones ect.
