This is flexible, part-time work with no guaranteed weekly schedule. Most events are booked in advance, and employees can request shifts based on their availability. Our greatest need is on Fridays, Saturdays, and occasional weekday evenings. Catering Bartender Responsibilities Set up, stock, and break down event bars Serve beer, wine, batch cocktails, and mixed drinks Follow the beverage menu and service details for each event Accurately ring and track beverages Check identification and follow responsible alcohol-service practices Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar Complete all closing and cleanup duties Previous bartending experience is strongly preferred. Wisconsin Responsible Beverage Server certification is required or must be obtained before working independently. Event Server Responsibilities Set up tables, buffets, beverage stations, and service areas Pass appetizers and maintain food displays Serve plated, buffet, and family-style meals Clear tables and keep guest areas clean Assist with dessert, coffee, and late-night service Complete event breakdown and cleanup Help with other event duties as needed Qualifications Dependable, punctual, and responsive to scheduling messages Friendly and professional with guests Able to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Available for evening and weekend events Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds Reliable transportation to event locations throughout the Madison area Restaurant, banquet, bartending, or catering experience is preferred Willing to work as part of a team and assist outside the primary role when needed Schedule Primarily Fridays, Saturdays, and evenings Shifts vary according to the event Most events are scheduled in advance Employees select or request shifts that fit their availability Regular participation during the busy event season is expected Compensation and Benefits Starting at $17 per hour Tips and applicable service-fee distributions Flexible scheduling Employee food discount Opportunities to work a variety of weddings and private events To Apply Please submit your résumé or a brief description of your relevant experience and availability.
