Duties Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits, ensuring consistency and quality. Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their experience and promote sales of beverages and food items. Manage bar operations efficiently using POS systems to process orders, payments, and cash handling accurately. Develop and refine beverage recipes while staying current with industry trends in mixology, craft beer, wine knowledge, and spirits. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area according to food safety standards and health regulations. Handle cash transactions securely while processing payments swiftly to maximize customer satisfaction. Collaborate with kitchen staff during events or banquets to ensure seamless food and beverage service during catering or banquet functions. Monitor inventory levels regularly; restock supplies as needed to keep the bar well-stocked for busy periods. Uphold excellent customer service standards by addressing guest inquiries promptly and professionally. Support bar management in training new team members on POS systems, beverage preparation techniques, and safety protocols. Experience Proven experience working as a bartender in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment. Strong knowledge of POS systems for processing transactions efficiently. Extensive cocktail experience with skills in beverage recipe development and mixology techniques. Familiarity with fine dining service standards, wine knowledge, brewing processes, craft beer selection, and spirits expertise. Previous food service experience including serving guests at bars or restaurants; banquet or catering experience is a plus. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders simultaneously during busy hours. Ability to process cash transactions accurately while maintaining high levels of customer service. Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures in the hospitality industry. Basic math skills for retail math calculations related to billing, tips, and inventory management. Hospitality industry experience demonstrating adaptability in diverse settings such as restaurants or event venues is highly valued.
