Job Description

The Hotel Step inside a legendary revival at The Watergate Hotel, a luxurious urban resort located along the banks of the Potomac River. Location The Watergate Hotel is centrally located in Washington, D.C., a city of political power, prestige, and elegance is culturally rich with theaters, museums, architectural splendors and unforgettable national memorials. The Watergate Hotel is situated within walking distance of the best the city has to offer. The Watergate Hotel is currently seeking talented and charismatic Bell/Door Attendants to join our Front Office team! Successful candidates will possess the following skills and expertise: 1+ years of hotel experience as a door person/attendant and/or front desk clerk is required; those with luxury hotel experience will be strongly preferred OR 2+ years of customer service experience is required; those with direct related luxury hotel experience will be strongly preferred. Must possess strong communication skills with fluency in English required; those with bi-lingual abilities will be preferred. Must be physically able to meet the demands of the position which include: standing/walking for extended periods of time while on shift; carrying/lifting heavy and/or bulky items such as luggage and boxes; must be able to withstand varying weather conditions including heat/humidity in the summer and snow/rain/ice in the winter months; must be able to negotiate stairs at times while on shift. A flexible schedule is required; must be available to work all shifts as assigned including early morning, late night, overnight, weekend and holiday shifts. Must be able to present one's self with an uplifting, positive and polished demeanor reflective of The Watergate Hotel brand standards.
