Job Description

Job description 1st SOS is a leading national staffing agency rapidly expanding to markets across the nation. Our team of experts has been serving clients with outsourcing staffing needs since 2010. Industries we serve include hospitality, light industrial, airports, hospitals, and universities. To help keep up with our growing client demands, we have an opportunity for Baggage/Wheelchair Handler in Miami, FL 33136 to join our team. The Baggage/Wheelchair Handler is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting meals according to restaurant or kitchen standards. This position involves working with various ingredients and kitchen equipment while adhering to food safety guidelines. A Cook II is expected to work under limited supervision, assisting in meal preparation, portion control, and ensuring quality standards are met. Baggage Handler Job Description Baggage Attendants will always be under control of Brightline and will perform the following functions:
  • Sort baggage according to SOP to include station destination, terminal destination, or scheduled train compartment for transport. Sorting may occur at the station, or on the train.
  • Utilize scanning technology to electronically track the chain of custody of the baggage through the journey while in possession of Brightline Trains.
  • Porter baggage within the train terminal to and from check in positions to trains, and from trains to baggage claim for passenger retrieval.
  • Bags Agent will be needed onboard during boarding
  • During boarding: Assists in stowing strollers, wheelchairs, and other large items in baggage tower out of the way from aisle and ADA area
  • During boarding: Occasionally assist guests with stowing carry-on bags in overhead space
  • Performs final safety check of baggage carts onboard to ensure brakes are set and carts are securely strapped in
  • Assist Brightline Baggage Attendants and GSA's in lobby as needed to assist guests needing to check-in baggage, including directing guests with large baggage to the Guest Services desk for additional inspection and or fee collection etc.
Requirements Standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs. frequently, stooping, pushing wheelchairs and heavy baggage carts up to 500 lbs., pulling, reaching and being on your feet for hours on end, is something you embrace and are able to do. When a problem arises, you find yourself being able to come up with a timely solution. While you don't have to be a mathematician, you possess basic math skills. You are a minimum of 18 years old. You must to be able to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
