As a Bell Person, you will have a genuine passion for guest service, top notch organizational skills, and the ability to work well in a team. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (
  • Essential Functions)
  • Greet guests in a timely and pleasant manner and escort guests to their rooms.
  • Assist guests in and out of their vehicle and provide information regarding the parking and retrieval of their vehicle. Provide valet information to guests.
  • Assist with maintaining organized records of guest car keys, coat check, and wheelchairs.
  • Assist guests with transportation and storage of luggage and packages including loading and unloading vans, taxis, and other motor vehicles; carrying and transporting luggage to and from rooms and storage. Push and pull full bell carts.
  • Assist physically challenged guests as needed.
  • Familiarize guests with the hotel and room by pointing out amenities and special features and answering guest questions about the facility.
  • Ensure organized and efficient valet operations (directing traffic or handing out Valet tickets).
  • Act as a resource to guests and team members by maintaining thorough knowledge of the facility, special events, promotions, local attractions, and other amenities.
  • Attend to guest needs, inquiries, or special requests in a friendly, courteous, and prompt manner offering the highest level of service.
  • Locate misdirected or lost package for guest and deliver to guest's room. Deliver specially requested items to guest rooms as needed.
  • Ensure hotel entrance, elevators, and other public areas are safe, clean, and attractive.
Perform light cleaning duties as needed and daily maintenance of bell carts, stanchions, and other items in the hotel entrance. Perform duties in full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedure, and regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent and previous bell service or related hospitality experience are preferred. The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information. The ability to use strong organization skills and attention to detail to accurately handle multiple job duties in a fast-paced environment. The ability to interact with guests and team members professionally. The ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays. While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move for prolonged periods of time in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment. The team member is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The team member will be required to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and up to 75 pounds occasionally with assistance. Team member must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing job duties. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Working Conditions The noise level is usually moderate. When on the casino floor the noise level increases. The facility is not smoke free. While performing the duties of this job the team member is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
