Job Description
Overview Join our team as a Breakfast Attendant and help our guests start their day with a great experience. This position is responsible for preparing and maintaining the hotel's complimentary breakfast, keeping the dining area clean and well-stocked, and providing friendly, attentive service. We're looking for someone who is dependable, welcoming, organized, and comfortable working early mornings in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Responsibilities Prepare and set up the daily breakfast buffet according to the hotel's weekly menu, ensuring food is fresh, properly stocked, and attractively presented. Provide friendly, attentive service and assist guests with breakfast items and requests. Monitor and replenish food, beverages, coffee, condiments, and supplies throughout breakfast service. Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures at all times. Safely operate breakfast equipment, including ovens, warmers, microwaves, coffee machines, and other kitchen equipment. Maintain a clean and organized breakfast area , including tables, counters, serving stations, kitchen/prep areas, and equipment. Break down and clean the breakfast area following service, properly storing remaining food and supplies. Prep food and supplies for the following day's breakfast based on the weekly menu , ensuring the next shift is properly prepared. Monitor breakfast inventory and communicate low-stock items or supply needs to management. Remove breakfast and kitchen trash at the end of each shift , replacing liners and leaving all areas clean and ready for the next day. Complete additional cleaning, food preparation, and breakfast-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous experience in food service, hospitality, restaurant, or similar guest-service environments is preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of food preparation, food handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures . Ability to safely operate common breakfast and kitchen equipment . Strong customer service skills with a friendly, welcoming, and professional attitude . Dependable and punctual, with the ability to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled . Ability to work independently, stay organized, and maintain breakfast service during busy periods. Ability to safely lift, carry, stock, and move food and supplies and perform routine cleaning tasks. Comfortable standing and moving for extended periods throughout the shift. Previous culinary, breakfast attendant, dietary aide, or food preparation experience is a plus but not required . Candidates with a current ServSafe Food Handler Certificate are strongly encouraged to apply .
