Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Breakfast Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional breakfast experience for our guests in a hotel setting. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will ensure that our breakfast area is inviting and well-stocked, creating a positive start to our guests' day. On Wednesday evenings, we host our guests for soup, salad, snacks and two complimentary adult beverages (for age appropriate guests). We're looking for someone who can become the kitchen champion for this weekly, 90-minute event. Responsibilities Set up and maintain the breakfast area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and fully stocked with food and beverages. Prepare and present breakfast items, including hot dishes, pastries, fruits, and beverages. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including coffee machines and toasters. Assist guests with their breakfast needs, providing excellent customer service and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Clean and sanitize all kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment after use to maintain health and safety standards. Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Participate in once weekly evening social, typically a 4 hour shift. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or hotel environments is preferred. Familiarity with catering services or banquet setups is a plus. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques. Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and hygiene standards. Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor towards guests. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality service standards. Flexibility to work early morning shifts as required by the hotel's breakfast schedule, and availability for weekly evening social.
